If you're staying at Maison Yomana and looking for a restaurant that combines refined cuisine, an enchanting setting, and a relaxed atmosphere, then Monsieur Tu in Ménerbes definitely deserves a spot on your list.

Already won over by their first location in L'Isle-sur-la-Sorgue, which has become a local benchmark since its opening in 2021, we were curious to discover this new iteration perched on the heights of Ménerbes... and the experience largely lived up to its promises.

An Arrival That Sets the Tone

Just a few minutes from the house, nestled in a lush green setting, the restaurant offers a breathtaking backdrop. As soon as we arrived on the panoramic terrace, our eyes naturally settled on the exceptional view stretching across the Vaucluse mountains, with the charming village of Gordes silhouetted in the distance as a backdrop. A silent spectacle that accompanies dinner and already invites you to disconnect.

The welcome is equally impressive: discreet, elegant, with just the right amount of warmth to make you feel immediately at ease. Special mention to Christopher, whose kindness and attentiveness marked our arrival. We took advantage of this suspended moment to start with a cocktail on the balcony before settling at our table.

Just and Flavorful Cuisine

The menu is short, an excellent sign, and focuses on ultra-fresh products, prepared with finesse and creativity. We shared two dishes that perfectly summarize the spirit of the house:

  • A perfectly cooked pollack fillet, accompanied by a fresh herb and lime risotto. Freshness and balance on the plate, precise seasoning—everything was mastered.

  • A beef fillet flambéed with Armagnac and port, served with lovely seasonal vegetables. The flambéing on the terrace awakened all the senses, diffusing a delicious woody scent into the evening air.

For dessert, we chose an artisanal ice cream by Clément Charlier, a true local delight, and a white chocolate and raspberry entremet, as light as it was gourmet. Each dish is carefully prepared, the cooking is perfect, the seasoning precise, and the presentation elegant without ever being superfluous.

A Rare Atmosphere

What makes the place so unique is the subtle balance between refinement and simplicity. You feel good, relaxed, carried by the beauty of the decor but without ever feeling stuck in an overly stiff setting. The choice of music, soft and unintrusive, contributes to this peaceful atmosphere that invites conversation or simply observing the landscape. The furniture, the materials, the lighting: everything is tastefully thought out. The nearby parking makes access easy, always an appreciated detail for this type of elevated establishment.

Our Maison Yomana Tip

If you want to experience it under the best conditions, be sure to book in advance, especially starting in June when evenings are fully booked even on weekdays. The perfect time? Arrive a little before dinner, order a cocktail on the terrace to admire the sunset, then settle at your table as the soft lights take over from the daylight. The prices are consistent with the quality of the experience: nothing excessive, but fitting for the establishment and its unique location.
