A House for 14 Guests in the Luberon: Hosting a Large Group

In Oppède, Maison Yomana welcomes up to fourteen guests across seven suites, each with a private bathroom. A house built for long tables and multi-generational stays, without giving up anyone's privacy.

How many guests can the house host?

Seven suites, averaging 25 sqm, each with its own private bathroom. Most suites have a large double bed; Le Dortoir, designed for children, has single beds. Together, they welcome up to fourteen guests, with no bathroom ever shared.

Each suite has its own character (L'île aux oiseaux, Lou Bonour, Joséphine, Luberon, Petit Colorado, Le Dortoir, Agastache), so the group can split by age or habit, not just by which bed is free.

How does the house keep things private, even at full capacity?

For a large group, real luxury is having somewhere to retreat to. Maison Yomana spreads its seven suites across 500 sqm, with several distinct lounges (the main lounge, the TV lounge, the conservatory) so everyone finds their own corner without constantly crossing paths. Le Dortoir sits naturally next to an adjoining suite: families get a proper setup, not a makeshift extra bed.

Where does everyone gather for meals?

The main terrace, next to the kitchen for easy service, gathers the big tables, in sun or shade. Indoors, the dining room and its oval table take over once evenings turn cooler. The kitchen keeps pace with a large group: two fridges, two ovens, a Thermomix, plenty to cook for fourteen, or to host a private chef for an evening.

What can each generation do?

A large group rarely wants the same thing at the same time. The heated pool, with a beach entry and an aquabike, suits a quiet swim as much as a workout. The billiard room, with its table football, and the pétanque court fill the afternoons. The 2.5-hectare garden gives children room to run without constant supervision, and the light-filled conservatory quickly becomes the spot for painting or crafts with them. Childcare can be arranged on request, so parents can also enjoy some time to themselves, or a massage. A golf course less than 3 km away welcomes family members who play.
